   South Bay Guitar Society has established a seasional tradition... join us for our 4th annual Holiday

       Ensemble coached and directed by JERRY SNYDER. This is a no-rehearsal sight reading experience intended for musicians of all skill levels who just show up with an instrument and the holiday spirit. Music scores (bring your music stand) will be provided. While centered around the classical guitar, past impromptu Holiday Ensembles have included cello, recorder, viola, tambourine, harp, flute, bass and pan pipes. For those not playing, please bring a seasonal plate to share and enjoy. Apple cider, eggnog and coffee will be provided. It's free and your family, friends and neighbors are most welcome.

       Founded in 1997, the San Francisco Guitar Quartet has established itself as a dynamic force in the guitar world through its ground-breaking concerts and recordings. They are committed to presenting new music - coalescing classical, world, and improvisatory musical traditions.
       The members of SFGQ, Mark Simons, Patrick O'Connell, David Dueñas, and Patrick Francis, have each distinguished themselves as recording artists and chamber musicians through their national and international touring, CD releases, and such achievements as first prize in the Baltimore Chamber Music Awards Competition, a Fulbright Scholarship, and a concert appearance in Carnegie Hall. Group members also hold faculty positions in Bay Area colleges and universities.
