Hello All -

We are pleased to announce that reservations are now open for the 2009 Mark Hanson concert engagement.

Many of you already know what a treat it is to hear Mark play.  If not, this is your chance to see a truly gifted musician up close and personal.  Mark is a Stanford-trained, Grammy-Winning, internationally celebrated fingerstyle guitar player with a very charming and friendly stage presence.  This will be his third visit to Shingle Springs and he always plays to a full, and very enchanted audience.  If you need further convincing, check out the sample performances that he has posted on youtube.  Just query his name, and you'll go right to it.

Just a few weeks ago Mark released two new CD's which are:

The Great American Songbook for Guitar includes Mark’s fabulous solo fingerstyle guitar arrangements of American jazz standards from the great Tin Pan Alley songsmiths. Classic tunes like “In the Mood”, “Angel Eyes”, “Brother, Can You Spare A Dime”, and “Zing! Went the Strings of My Heart” highlight this CD of 13 tunes.
Love Songs for Guitar includes twelve of Mark’s unique solo fingerstyle guitar arrangements of great pop standards. Classic tunes like “The Best of My Love” (Eagles), “Something” (Beatles), “Isn't She Lovely”(Stevie Wonder), and “Wonderful World” (Sam Cooke) highlight this CD of a dozen beautiful tunes.

I'm sure that he'll be including many of the new pieces in his set list for these shows, and of course he'll have copies available at the concert for purchase.

Mark will be performing two nights  --  Friday and Saturday February 6 and 7.  Friday's show is at 8:00 PM, and Saturday's show will be at 7:30 PM.

We ask a donation of $12.00 per seat and, as always, all proceeds go to the artist.

Please reply back with the number of seats that you would like to reserve, and please also remember to indicate which night you will be joining us.

Thanks to all for supporting world-class acoustic music in the Foothills.  We'll look forward to a great weekend!
