Daniel Roest (pronounced "roost") has performed in countless solo and ensemble events in nearly every kind of venue. He is well known in the San Francisco Bay Area and recently moved to the Sacramento area. He is recognized for his playing and for supporting gifted players, bringing artists and audiences together. He has been keeping a full schedule as a performer and public and private teacher. He has also served as Artistic Director of the South Bay Guitar Society and taught at De Anza College in Cupertino, Foothill College in Los Altos Hills and California State University Stanislaus. Daniel Roest holds three degrees in music performance and has participated in 28 masterclasses. He enjoys introducing new audiences to the art of the classical guitar and conducting lecture-demos with visiting artists in schools of all grade levels.
