Here's a resource I found searching for a flute and guitar duet partner - so when you go to this site you can see what the flute players are up to.
This is a good substitute for a metronome until you get one, but all musicians can benefit from owning and using a portable metronome.
Let your teacher know if you need some coaching in the use of the metronome. You will find that the metronome is actually like having your teacher counting along with you each time you practice.
